Essex soldier Georgie Goodey is a heart beat away from 2021’s Miss Great Britain finals. We sat down with her to get the low-down.
On being a finalist she tells us: “Being a finalist for Miss GB again is an absolute dream. I feel so incredibly lucky to have represented Essex since 2019. Miss GB offers an empowering environment for women to support each other, raise awareness and money for charities and causes they feel passionate about whilst taking the opportunity to place themselves out of their comfort zone performing on stage in front of hundreds of people.
“In the run up to the final this year I have continued to support charities such as Cancer Research and Combat Stress and most recently ran 100km in 10 days for Cancer Research. I have maintained public appearances and continued to champion the Miss GB brand balanced against my work commitments as a serving soldier in the British Army.”
Discussing her future plans Goodey added: “Following the Miss GB final I intent to continue to use my platform to raise awareness and funds for charities I am passionate about whilst also championing female empowerment with the aim of encouraging all women to follow their dreams regardless of how crazy or far fetched they initially feel.”
She added “I am a firm believer that if your dreams don’t scare you they’re not big enough and I hope to inspire women everywhere to think bigger and chase after their ambitions!”
