KAT Marketing has this week announced the appointment of Julian Read as the company’s new content manager. Starting in September, Julian heads to KAT Marketing after 15 years as editor of Essex Life, the best-selling county magazine in Essex which has been published within the county since 1952.
Based in Colchester, KAT Marketing is a full creative marketing agency delivering digital and traditional marketing campaigns, communication services and event management across London and the East of England. Julian joins KAT’s energised team of strategists, designers and content creators with a wealth of experience and innovative ideas.
Commenting on the move, Julian said: “This is an incredibly exciting move for me. Editing Essex Life for the last 15 years has been such a privilege, as it is an iconic brand within the county which means so much to so many people. However, it just felt like this was the right time for a change and when the opportunity came up at KAT Marketing, it was just too good to resist. I have worked with Katie Skingle, founder of KAT Marketing, on numerous projects over the last 15 years during my time at Essex Life, so the chance to join her highly skilled team offered a great new chapter for me.
“As we all look to rebuild and remodel our lives after the pandemic this is an exciting time of change, so where better to be than with a marketing agency that loves to innovative and be creative, while delivering the best service for its clients. KAT Marketing has an excellent local reputation for helping businesses and organisations achieve their objectives with stunning success. I hope to play my part in developing that reputation even further and I am certain that people will hear and see much more from KAT in the future.”
Katie Skingle added: “I’ve worked with Julian on different campaigns over the last 15 years and his qualities as an editor have been clear for all to see during his time at Essex Life. Now in his new role at KAT Marketing I expect him to add a new depth, creativity and quality to all aspects of the content we produce, and we are delighted to welcome him as a new member of the KAT team.”
