Sumners and Kingsmoor councillor Clive Souter was elected Chair of Harlow Council for a second time at Annual Council last night (Thursday 20 May).
Councillor Souter has chosen dementia care at Princess Alexandra Hospital Trust and Harlow Stroke Support Rehab Centre as his chosen charities for the coming year.
Also elected as Vice-Chair last night was councillor Maggie Hulcoop.
On taking up the appointment for a second time, Councillor Souter said: “I am both pleased and proud to be taking on the role of Chair of Harlow council for a second time. I hope that I am able to raise plenty of money for the two very important charities I have chosen for this year as both do such important work in improving quality of life for the community here in Harlow.
“I look forward to starting work again as Chair and know I will have great support from Vice-Chair Maggie Hulcoop.”
