Leading art retailer Castle Fine Art has signed renowned artist, author and activist Alfie Bowen and will be showcasing his work across its network of high street galleries throughout 2021. The Call of the Wildcollection is set to launch in spring and will feature a selection of Bowen’s striking wildlife photography.
Bowen’s work – which graces the walls of homes and venues across the world – has been shown by BBC Earth and his first single-man exhibition sold-out in just a few hours. He credits his talent for having saved him from a decade of bullying due to his diagnosis of autism, turning the harrowing experience round to highlight the plight of nature.
He explains:
“Through my work I hope to make people fall in love with our natural world, so we can save it before it’s too late. We share planet earth with many other species and it is our responsibility to care for them and ensure that they are thriving for future generations to enjoy.
“It is a great honour to have signed for Castle Fine Art and be able to show my work to a new audience across the UK.”
One of the many reasons that Bowen’s photography stands out is because he spends endless hours researching his subjects in the field to ensure his captures are of the highest quality. Much of this new work will appear in his new book – called Wild World: Nature Through and Autistic Eye – due to be published this year. He is also a proud ambassador for Clinks Care Farm, African Revival, Big Blue Ocean Cleanup and Young Bird Photographer of the Year, and works closely with the WWF.
