It’s been a rollercoaster of a year but through the toughest of times the hairdressing industry has shown strength, creativity and perseverance. With only a couple of weeks to go before the new year begins, there could not be a better time to celebrate local Salon Owner, Jim Shaw and Premium Stylist, Daisy Carter of TONI&GUY Billericay, receiving the news they have won the Modern Barber Awards 2020 Best Photographic Entry.
The Modern Barber Awards, organised by industry publication, Modern Barber, is the only dedicated awards for the barbering industry and recognises the very best barbers and men’s hairdressers from across the UK, allowing professionals to celebrate their creative and commercial success and support their peers.
To finalise for the Best Photographic Entry, Jim and Daisy had to submit a professional image of their work alongside information on how they created the style, which products were used to create the style and their inspiration behind the look. Jim and Daisy were then announced as finalists before being chosen as the winners of the category at the virtual awards ceremony, held via a live Facebook event for all to attend.
In their winner’s acceptance speech on the virtual awards night, Jim and Daisy said, “Wow! We are thrilled to have won this award. In strange times like these, it’s amazing to have such great news. We’re delighted – we love our collection and we’re so happy the judges love it too!”
