Daddy Look at Me, the podcast from Studio71 UK, a Red Arrow Studios company, and Rosie Jones and Helen Bauer is back for a bumper fourth season featuring more celebrity guests from the comedy space. In Daddy Look at Me, Jones and Bauer usher their guests’ early lives into the spotlight to reveal the behaviours and quirks that exposed life in showbiz was always on the horizon.
From Joe Lycett’s public playground singing that landed him an assembly performance, Jordan Brookes’ obsession for performing magic and the time Jess Fostekew pretended to break her legs, previous Daddy Look at Me series have uncovered all ways their guests sought attention in their childhoods. Earlier guests on Daddy Look at Me include Romesh Ranganathan, Joe Lycett, Sofie Hagen, Nish Kumar, Jayde Adams, Sophie Duker, Siblings, Ed Gamble and Darren Harriott.
Season 4, which launches today, will welcome more celebrated comedians onto the show including James Acaster, Phil Wang, Rachel Parris & Marcus Brigstocke, Sara Barron, Jen Brister, Red Richardson, Shazia Mirza, Jack Barry, Will Duggan, Egg, Zoe Lyons, Nathan Darcy Roberts and Sikisa. The season returns with first guests Rachel Parris & Marcus Brigstocke and will run weekly thereafter.
Jones & Bauer say,
“Daddy Rosie and Baby Helen show no mercy when it comes to digging into the childhoods of their guests. Think Louis Theroux but with screaming and shouting instead of awkward silences.”
Rosie Jones and Helen Bauer are comedy writers and stand-up performers who first connected on a Studio71 UK series for BBC3, entitled ‘Period Dramas’.
Jones is a 2018 Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Finalist and has written for several shows including Sex Education and Would I Lie to You? She is a regular on Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back and The Last Leg for Channel 4, as well as fronting her own series, Mission: Accessible and Rosie Tries To Help, for Comedy Central. Jones is currently working on a Studio71 UK comedy travelogue for Channel 4, planned for early 2021.
Bauer is a 2018 Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Award Finalist, is a BBC 2018 New Comedy Awards Finalist and her debut 2019 Edinburgh Fringe show, ‘Little Miss Baby Angel Face’ was nominated for Best Newcomer.
