Join Breast Cancer Now for a fun-filled evening of entertainment, with performances from Pixie Lott, Emeli Sandé, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and more, at REUNIGHT on 4 November.
Hosted by Sky Sports Presenter Jacquie Beltrao, who was diagnosed with breast cancer again this year, the star-studded virtual fundraising night will include a range of performances, as well as uplifting stories and a chance to win incredible prizes. The charity will be announcing even more celebrities joining the line-up next week.
For months, the coronavirus pandemic has put much of Breast Cancer Now’s fundraising on pause. Many of its flagship fundraising events have been cancelled but REUNIGHT aims to reconnect the charity with its wonderful supporters.
Every 10 minutes in the UK one woman is diagnosed with breast cancer, and one man is diagnosed every day. Funds raised at REUNIGHT will help Breast Cancer Now to continue its world-class research and life-changing support to help create a future where everyone who develops breast cancer lives – and is supported to live well.
Breast Cancer Now ambassador, Jacquie Beltrao said:
“I was delighted to be asked to host Breast Cancer Now’s first virtual event – REUNIGHT. As many will know I am a huge supporter of the charity and given my own recent diagnosis it feels even more poignant for me to be hosting this inspiring event this year.
“I know first-hand what it’s like to hear the words “it’s breast cancer”, words which turn your world upside down. I’m very proud to be supporting Breast Cancer Now, a charity which gives support and hope to the hundreds of thousands of people affected by breast cancer in the UK. I hope to see as many of you as possible joining us on the night, virtually of course. Get booking your tickets, you’re not going to want to miss this!”
Claire Pulford, Associate Director of Community and Events at Breast Cancer Now, said:
“The coronavirus crisis is having a devastating impact on Breast Cancer Now’s ability to deliver the progress and support that so many people affected by breast cancer rely on us for.
“For months, it put many areas of breast cancer, including our world-class research, our life-changing community support services and much of our fundraising, on pause. But we know that breast cancer doesn’t stop for anything.
“That’s why events like REUNIGHT are so important in helping to drive progress for people affected by breast cancer who urgently need your support, now more than ever before. We look forward to welcoming all of our incredible supporters for what promises to be a really special evening.”
