To celebrate National Ice Cream Day on 19th July, Oppo Brothers – the luxury, low-calorie ice cream brand – is set to launch the ultimate flavour test for the nation’s ice cream lovers.
With a recent study showing that lockdown resulted in ice cream & desserts seeing the most sales growth during lockdown after wine and beer1 (around 40%2), we’ve emerged as connoisseurs of the frozen stuff, and our palates are more fine-tuned than ever.
Oppo is now set to put this to the test, as the brand invites ice cream fans to take part in a nationwide competition for the chance to win a year’s supply of ice cream and select the next flavour in the range. Participants can head to the Oppo website where they’ll find a flavour wheel complete with descriptors for appearance, texture and flavour. Those who guess the correct trio for an Oppo flavour will be added to a pool, from which one lucky winner will be selected at random.
With an array of delicious flavours available, ranging from Vanilla Pecan Praline to Caramel Chocolate Crunch, participants will need to think and taste carefully before selecting the correct descriptors. These range from ‘smooth’ and ‘pastel’ for appearance, to ‘nutty’ and ‘firm’ for texture and ‘sweet’ and ‘rich’ for flavour.
Participants will be in with the chance of winning a year’s supply of ice cream and have the chance to select the next Oppo ice cream flavour to add to the existing portfolio. In fact, the winner will be the first person in the UK to test out the new flavours that are being added to the range.
Using the finest ingredients to create the most indulgent flavour combinations ensures Oppo Brothers ice cream does not compromise on flavour. In fact, Oppo is the only low-calorie ice cream brand to win Great Taste awards. Developing a range of healthier ice creams incorporating natural ingredients provides the ultimate guilt-free treat to enjoy this summer.
Oppo ice cream is available to buy in all major retailers across the UK, starting at an RRP of £4.50 and is available online for home delivery on oppobrothers.com.
