From the outside, being an influencer looks like one of the easiest jobs in the world. But the problem is these people only see the final stage of being an influencer when you already have the millions of followers and can afford to lead a glamorous lifestyle. What they don’t see, however, is the years of work and determination that the influencer put in before reaching this good place in his life.

Hailing from Pamplona, Spain, Jon Delgado is a rare sight, even in this society where you can become a celebrity overnight. He started his online career with the account @infanciaexterminada, at the tremendously young age of 12. But make no mistake, for Delgado was no ordinary technology-obsessed twelve year old. He didn’t simply post silly pictures of him and his friends or put up shots of his ice cream.
From a very young age, Delgado understood that in order to make an impact on the Internet, you need content that stands out from the rest.
So the young man set about creating this content, writing up cute and humorous captions that quickly garnered attention and acclaim, and within the span of a few brief years, he found himself with a following of 1.3 million.
Now, that’s a number that’s difficult to reach even for the ‘biggest’ Instagram stars. There are many famed actors and celebrities who have far fewer followers on their Instagram accounts, so clearly the young Spaniard had been doing something right. Unfortunately, the account has recently been disabled, but Delgado did not allow that to dampen his spirits.
On the contrary, he soon focused his attention on his personal Instagram account, @jondlgado, where he quickly gathered 10,000 followers. An impressive number, considering the account was not Delgado’s main focus for many years
Instead of sulking over his account being disabled, Delgado proved his unique sense of entrepreneurship and vision and chose to take it in stride. He saw this change as an opportunity for his content to evolve, and now, with his @jondlgado, he plans to share the same witty, catchy content, but also combine it with the lessons he’s learned so far in his young life.
Now, you may be wondering what an 18 year old has to teach you about life, but Delgado isn’t like most 18 year old kids you meet, and many of us could learn from someone with such ambition.
