Whether you’ve had to postpone your nuptials or have popped the question during lockdown, what better way to use this down time than to plan your big day? Fresh from a multi-million-pound makeover in 2019, luxury Hertfordshire country house hotel Down Hall is supporting couples with dedicated wedding packages for late 2020 and 2021, alongside a fully refundable deposit scheme to allow you to nab a date now and decide for certain once you’ve visited for yourself.
LOCKDOWN PLANNING
It’s safe to say 2020 hasn’t been the best of years, and that’s why Down Hall invites you to get ahead with planning – let’s #BeMore2021! To help you plan your day remotely, Down Hall is offering a fully refundable deposit scheme to all couples who book to hold a date in 2021. Enjoy a virtual tour of the property, then pay a £500 deposit to hold your date. You will then have a month after the end of lockdown to visit in person to decide if it’s the right venue for you. Your deposit will be eligible for a full refund if you decide to release the booking.
THE PERFECT BACKDROP
Fully licensed for civil ceremonies and featuring stunning interiors, expansive landscaped grounds, a bridal dressing suite and a dedicated in-house wedding planner, Down Hall has everything covered for the perfect wedding day. The hotel’s West Wing – a self-contained, dedicated space – has been specifically designed for weddings, includes six event rooms set amid 110 acres of gorgeous woodland, parkland and landscaped gardens complete with a stunning wedding gazebo, perfect for outdoor ceremonies.
BESPOKE PACKAGES
Down Hall’s dedicated wedding packages cater for a range of budgets and, to ensure no detail is overlooked, all weddings include the help of a dedicated wedding coordinator, who will take the pressure off you and plan your big day to perfection. With facilities to accommodate everything from a lively party for 220 to a romantic ceremony for just two, Down Hall can arrange your perfect day – packages offer a range of options for your wedding breakfast and evening entertainment, with the Deluxe package event including a gorgeous bespoke Rosalind Miller wedding cake (RRP £3000) within the cost.
To ensure you get suited and booted in style, the bridal parties will also have the use of Liddell, a spacious dressing suite complete with standalone chrome bathtub, and Glasscock, with its pool table and wide-screen TV with PS4, is ideal for the groom and his groomsmen.
R&R
After the greatest day of your life, retire to one of the West Wing’s luxury bedrooms, included in all wedding packages. To cater for overnight guests, a further 18 of the West Wing’s bedrooms can be blocked out at a set wedding rate. And, for any sore heads the morning after the night before, there’s Down Hall’s in-house luxury Eden Spa, where newlyweds can enjoy the wet spa’s hydrotherapy pool, mood-lid sauna and steam room, alongside a range of relaxing treatments.
Wedding packages start from £165 per guest for a minimum of 60 guests, with dates available seven days a week throughout the year.
