The Bishops’ Primary School in Springfield, Chelmsford, is continuing to raise funds for their much-needed new school hall with a crowd-pulling charity concert on Saturday 8th February.
Taking place at Christ Church on the New London Road, the event’s impressive homegrown line-up includes X-Factor finalist Neneth Lyons and star of the West End’s Matilda, Izzy Molloy.
Mr Waters, Headmaster of the Bishops’, comments:
“While we far exceeded our fundraising expectations from the 62mile race carried out last term, we still have a long way to go to reach the total needed to build our new school hall. Fortunately, we have some very talented people in our midst who have been willing to take part in a charity concert in February. Neneth Lyons is one of our school mums and Izzy Molloy was once a pupil at Bishops’, before she became star of Matilda and featured as a younger Angelina Jolie in Malificent! We are also excited to welcome London Adventist Chorale to our list of top acts – which two of our parents have sung in. With such a great line up, we expect tickets will sell fast.”
Mr Waters continues: “The number of pupils at Bishops’ Primary School has doubled since the original school hall was established, leaving us sorely tight on space when providing the usual assemblies, performances, sporting and musical activities. This new premises will enable us to deliver excellence both in terms of education and extra-cirrcular activity for both pupils and the community at large, who will be able to use the space outside of school hours for their own additional needs.”
Tickets are available from the school office from 8am – 4pm each weekday.
