The Amazon delivery station in Basildon welcomed the Essex Chamber of Commerce and local business leaders for a tour of its site.
During the visit, guests met the team and were given a behind-the-scenes look at the technology behind sorting and delivering parcels to customers across Essex.

Amazon Logistics is helping independent local delivery companies to grow their businesses and adds capacity and flexibility to Amazon’s delivery network to meet increasing customer demand.
Amazon has created around 75 permanent jobs at the delivery station in Basildon and works with 15 independent delivery companies with hundreds of drivers to provide the fast and reliable delivery Amazon customers love and trust. Packages are shipped to the delivery station from Amazon fulfilment and sortation centres and loaded onto vehicles to get delivered to customers.
