The Rotary Club of Canvey Island together with the Canvey Coast Satellite Club are all set for a new and exciting fund raiser on Sunday 15th September.
Rotarian Tony Clarke’s idea has culminated in ‘Melodies in the Meadow’ featuring the Harmonie Concert Orchestra playing music from film and shows and presenting a finale in the style of the ‘last night of the proms’. We are hoping to encourage people to come along as this is a family friendly event where they can bring their own picnics, chairs, tables and everything they need for a great afternoons entertainment.
There is free parking so no extra cost to bring the family car. Ticket are £10 per adult and under 16’s are free which hopefully will encourage young families to attend. Monkswick Stables in Northwick Road, Canvey Island are hosting the event between 2.00 pm and 5.00 pm.
Money raised will be distributed between the Canvey Dementia Project,Canvey Food-bank Service and the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Service.
