Community Festival BISH BASH returns to Bishops Stortford
The volunteer run, not-for-profit festival BISH BASH 2019 will feature a full bill of local talent, with 4 stages of music, comedy and plenty to keep the little ones occupied.
Festival Director, Annabel Smith, said “last year will take some beating, but this year promises to be the best yet.”

SATURDAY:
Republica – Republica have been announced as the headline for the Saturday at next year’s award winning Bish Bash, which takes place over the Bank Holiday Weekend in Castle Park.
Fronted by the charismatic, Saffron, the 90s indie technopop band are best known for their hits Drop Dead Gorgeous and Ready To Go. Despite only reaching number 43 on its original release Ready To Go returned to the charts the following year at number 13 and has become an anthem for many sports teams and advertising campaigns around the globe.
SUNDAY:
Black Grape – Stortford Music Festival is excited to announce that Black Grape are to headline Sunday night when The Bish Bash returns to Sworders Field over the May Day Bank Holiday.
Fronted by former Happy Mondays singer and I’m A Celebrity… runner up, Shaun Ryder, the band had a string of hits in the 90s. Following a lengthy hiatus they released the critically acclaimed album, Pop Voodoo, which last year saw them return to the top 20.

Papa Shango – Closing the proceedings on the night will be local lunatic rockers, Papa Shango, with their theatrical brand of fun & chaos.

Too Many T’s, Jim Bob – Sunday’s bill also features party rap duo Too Many T’s and Jim-Bob from Carter USM, fresh from a sell-out show at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
