Down Hall Hotel & Spa is hosting a spooktacular afternoon tea and family getaway package this October, perfect for witches, ghouls and little pumpkins to get together for some frightful fun! Located in Bishop’s Stortford on the Hertfordshire/Essex border, Down Hall is situated on 110 acres of thriving gardens and woodland, making it the ideal retreat this Hollow’s Eve.
The Halloween Afternoon Tea includes a selection of savoury bites, with finger sandwiches, followed by scones served with Devonshire clotted cream and Tiptree preserves, but it’s the sweet course where things start to get seriously spooky. With chocolate brownie coffins, blood orange custard and pumpkin spiced muffins, you’ll be sure to be licking your lips like a zombie. Vampires, or other non-blood-thirsty adults, costs £30 per person while little bats are £15. A homemade alcoholic punch is available as an add on for £5 or a non-alcoholic punch for £3.
The Halloween Afternoon Tea is available from the 20th October – 1st November between 1pm – 5pm.
Treat the family for Autumn half term and head to Down Hall from 19th October – 5th November where kids stay for free. From £169 for two adults*, including an allowance towards dinner in The Grill Room per adult, an overnight stay and buffet breakfast the following morning.
