Haven House Children’s Hospice is launching its new ‘Pumpkin Fest’ family fundraiser for even more Halloween fun on Sunday 28 October.
Following on from the success of its Chasing Elves 10k run last year, Haven House has incorporated a Chasing Pumpkins 10k run through Epping Forest for its annual pumpkin event. The run will start from Haven House’s grounds at High Road, Woodford Green, at 11am.
In the afternoon Haven House will also be holding its Pumpkin Plod 2k or 5k family walks which will take families through a brand new route this year encompassing the beautiful Highams Park lake.
Both walks begin at 2.30pm and pumpkin paraphernalia will be decorated along the route with participants encouraged to get creative and become the perfect pumpkins.
Entry fee for the Chasing Pumpkins 10k run is £15 and includes an official chip time, medal, pumpkin headwear and sweet treats.
A ticket price for a child under 12 for the Pumpkin Plod is £7; an adult £11 and family of four £30. Entry fee includes an activity card, medal, sweet treats and a pumpkin.
Haven House is also encouraging participants of the walks and run to raise £50 in sponsorship
