A service is being held on Clacton seafront to commemorate the 73rd anniversary of VJ Day.
The Service of Remembrance will be staged in the Memorial Gardens on Marine Parade West on Wednesday, August 15.
It will be hosted by the Royal British Legion (RBL) and supported by Tendring District Council (TDC). Wreaths will be laid by various groups and organisations.
The service will celebrate the end of the war in the Pacific and Victory over Japan and everyone is invited to attend.
It will be conducted at the War Memorial by the Rev Phil Sacre, while Tendring District Council (TDC) Chairman Mark Platt will read Psalm 46, verses 1-7.
