Staff at the Genting Casino, Westcliff, ‘pulled’ together’ to raise over £1,250 for Southend Hospital with their rowing challenge.
Casino staff took to the virtual high seas on static rowing machines over the course of a week to help raise funds for the hospital’s For Wards Appeal. The challenge concluded on Thursday 5 July, which also marked the 70th Anniversary of the NHS.
The For Wards Appeal has already funded state of the art technology in Southend Hospital’s Audiology department and our Brachytherapy department.
Two members of staff in particular, Ben Gentle and Daniel Gunn, went the extra mile for the charity as they rowed continuously for 12 hours to help boost funds.
