The Met Office predicts a three-month summer heatwave for Britain, so what better way to cool off from the soaring temperatures than with a day of water fuelled, family fun at Lee Valley White Water Centre’s annual Summer Splash event.
Returning to the Waltham Cross venue on Sunday 1 July, the popular event is free to attend and the perfect way to kick-start the summer season with a host of attractions for all the family to enjoy.
Visitors can soak up the action both on and off the water with a day of exciting activities, entertainment and free games including Foot Golf, beach volleyball, an 8 metre climbing wall and inflatable obstacle courses.
There will also be the chance to try out the venues new Water Wipe Out course and SUPZILLA – a gigantic stand up paddle board for up to 10 people.
Ideal for families of all ages, fun seekers will get the chance to try many of the water sports available throughout the summer at a discounted price such as Hydrospeeding – which is similar to bodyboarding but on the fast flowing white water – and Hot Dog sessions in two person inflatables.
