Chelmsford Museum will be creating a pop-up museum experience at this year’s 3foot People Festival at Hylands Park, Chelmsford from Tuesday 26 to Thursday 28 June, between 9.30am and 4pm.
Chelmsford Museum will be telling stories, reciting rhymes and singing songs all focused on the museum’s fascinating historical objects. The fun interactive workshops are based on the museum’s ever popular ‘Friday Fives’ pre-school sessions that run at the museum during term times. The sessions will feature ‘Here we go round the mulberry bush’ and ‘Two little dickey birds’, with one running in the morning session and one in the afternoon session.
Chelmsford Museum’s pop-up experience will also offer fun and interesting artefacts from the museum’s collection, as well as archaeological mini digs for ‘dinosaur bones’, replica Victorian toys to play with and an art activity.
The 3foot People Festival is the largest outdoor festival exclusively for pre-school children and is set to welcome over 14,000 visitors to the beautiful surrounds of Hylands Park; children, parents and carers are expected to be overwhelmed with wonder as they experience this unique boutique festival.
