Over the Easter bank holiday Socially Powerful Saudi Arabian influencer-turned-designer Najla Abdulaziz launched her first clothing line called ‘Eid’ for women and children at a private fashion show held in Covent Garden. Abdulaziz also debut two fragrances named Gold and Silver (eau du perfume 100ml) created in Germany by one of the finest perfumers. The fragrances will go on sale exclusive for the Saudi market in high-end perfume shops and will be available mid May.
We caught up with the designer to talk about her, the event and her plans.
Najla, you launched your womenswear & childrenswear collection. How was it received?
“My line is called ‘Eid’. It comprises of 3 Wedding dresses with the core part of 12 pieces of womenswear ranging from day to evening wear in sizes S, M and L. Many people struggle to get womens tracksuits, though this has become easier with the internet opening markets to many more. Still, I wanted to bring my own spin to it.
The children’s line contains 12 pieces available in sizes: 6-7 Y, 7-8Y, 8-9Y, 9-10Y. It was such a special day and very exciting. It is my first show. It was very well received we had a great turn out and I have been getting enquiries not just from back home but internationally now.”

What is your inspiration for your clothing line?
I have been designing for the past 10 years this collection reflects that journey from doing one-off pieces to starting a fully-fledged brand. As I still have so much to learn as a designer. You can read more on my instagram bio.
You are from Saudi, why have you chosen to launch here in London?
I wanted to be the first Saudi designer to launch in London. For me London is one of the top fashion destinations in the world. So I am over the moon as it’s a major milestone for me. This is just the beginning and I am still learning.”
You have released two beautiful fragrances tell us about them?
My fragrances are literally like day and night. The eau de parfumes are called Gold and Silver. They will be available exclusively to the Saudi Market in high-end perfume shops and will be available mid May.
Gold uses notes such as Egyptian jasmine, Tuberose, Roman Musk, Tonka Beans, Cocoa Beans. The scent has a sense of the formal, warmth and the night.
Silver uses a Rose blend, Clementine, White Musk, Citrus Essence.
Silver is refreshing, energetic and with the lightness of day or springtime.
The perfumes are inspired by by the contrast of cultures a east meet west but fusing the two cultures captured in these scents.
What are you plans for the future?
“I am building a lifestyle brand so I am planning a make up line, sportswear for men and women, handbags, and nightwear and more seasonal lines.”
