Ed Sheeran is known for his amazing singing, but he has hit the headlines this weekend after announcing he is engaged to girlfriend Cherry Seaborn.
The multi award winning artist took to Instagram to announce the news by posting a photo with the caption “Got myself a fiancé just before new year”.
He continued on to say “We are happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well”. This comes after Ed had said last year that he would love to marry and start a family with Cherry.
The couple met at a high school in Suffolk, but Cherry left to start studying at a university in North Carolina to which then the two started a long-distance relationship back in 2015, it is also rumoured that the 26 year old had a crush on Seaborn for a while.
It has also been rumoured that Cherry was the inspiration for two of Ed’s number hits, Perfect and Shape Of You.
A date for the wedding has not yet been announced but we will keep you all up to date on this story as it develops.
