Having recently released her new single 1/9, Tarantina released her self-produced stop-motion video to accompany the track. Watch the eye-catching video here!
Speaking about its creation she explains, “This video takes the form of a stop-motion animation and was completed, in its entirety, on my living room floor. The making of this video left permanent stains on my floor and in my head. It was a gruelling six months so, at the end of it all, I set fire to it.”
1/9 is electronic pop-noir with an eery cinematic atmosphere. It’s taken from her forthcoming self-produced debut EP ‘Teething’, which will be released later in 2017.
Tarantina is a self-taught singer, multi-instrumentalist, producer and videographer who creates dark polished pop within the confines of her home studio. Her first track, ‘I Am A Loner’ (released under her previous moniker Wray) was picked up by bloggers after being anonymously uploaded to Soundcloud. The song has now received over 89k plays. This accidental success sparked an intense period of hibernation, the result of which is her forthcoming EP ‘Teething’.
