With the power of blogging on the rise, The South East Bloggers Club launched with its first event on Thursday 28 September, hosted at the picturesque Layer Marney Tower.
When HubSpot claimed companies who blog receive 97% more links back to their website – they were spot on.
The SEB Club is harnessing the various benefits blogging can have for brands, including increased exposure, engagement with customers, the ability to influence purchasing habits and the power to improve SEO and social media engagement. These things have become so key with blogging and online careers as a whole that people will seek the services of experts, like Home Service Direct to name one example, to assist in improving these aspects for their websites.
Representatives from ex-Towie cast member, Lucy Mecklenburgh’s online health and fitness platform, Results with Lucy, were one of the brands in attendance alongside names including Perrywood, Layer Marney Tower, Secret Hamper, LillyPuds, Cooknst, Metallic Elephant, Prested Hall, Shaken Udder, Fairfield Crisps and Witham based charity, Brainwave.
There was a great atmosphere on the night with Prosecco flowing and bloggers enjoying themselves in the photo booth provided by Betty Booths, a range of amazing games from Garden Games Hire LTD and live music from Colchester based Ben White Music. No doubt they will have gone away from the event feeling inspired, and knowing where to look for to get help for things like SEO, if they choose to seek it.
The SEB Club presents a great opportunity for bloggers and brands to form strong relationships to promote future collaborations and creates a platform for brands to enter into the blogging community.
The next event will be held at The Ale House on Wednesday 6 December for bloggers to enjoy some festive drinks.
