Journalist Kate Leaver took to Twitter to tell of encounter with Myers as she says the pair met on Teotter and agreed to go for what she thought was “a friendly drink.”
Leaver says after showing not interest in the shamed GQ corresponded, He said “I’ve got enough mates, I’d rather fuck you” and forced himself on me outside a pub in Fitzrovia.”
This afternoon a statement from British GQ confirmed that with immediate effect Myers’ freelance contract with the outlet had been terminated.
Myers is also thought to be one of the co-founders of political news outlet The Spoon who have since confirmed his departure.
