Haven House Children’s Hospice has launched a new support group for the dads of children and young people cared for by the hospice.
The dads meet at the hospice in Woodford Green once a month on a Saturday at 11am where they have the opportunity to share their experiences as well as have fun.
The group was set up to address the needs of dads who are caring for or who have supported life-limited children and forms part of Haven House’s Vision 2020 strategy to extend its holistic care services.
Judi Porter, Family and Community Manager at Haven House, said: “For many years we have run a successful Coffee Morning Group for parents where they have been able to share their experiences, develop friendships and enjoy spending time together.
“In response to feedback from parents we have decided to set up a group for dads.
