Brentwood centre CEO Roger Davinson and the Fit and Fed team played hosts to new Brentwood and Ongar MP, Alex Burghart who visited the centre last week.
Alex found out more about the highly successful Brentwood Fit & Fed programme for local young people (11-16) which provides action packed activities and a nutritious meal each day.
Brentwood Fit & Fed is part of the national StreetGames programme to tackle holiday hunger, inactivity and isolation in children and young people – and are offering a FREE summer programme with sporting activities and healthy meals.
The Fit and Fed team will be hosting a Barbeque on Friday 1st September
Brentwood Leisure Trust are celebrating the end of our summer Fit & Fed programme with a Community BBQ fundraiser for children and young people from disadvantaged families. All profits will go towards our youth programmes to encourage healthy eating, physical activity and creating opportunities for local young people.
