HOW TO ACHIEVE FABULOUS FESTIVAL HAIR
With the number of festival options growing each year we’ve put togetherour hottest hair trends to make you stand out from the crowd with minimum effort.
Forget your mini shampoo and conditioner who wants to waste time on this at you fun filled music jaunt. Instead opt for aday plan of action to make the most of your hair and time!
DAY 1
They say its all in the planning! Before leaving make the most of your prep time with a good shampoo, conditioner and pre blow dry styling product. Make sure these are quality products suited to your hair type, for example davines hair shampoo and conditioners provide for curly hair as well as other hair types. Doing this gives your hair the body and hold it needs to be styled once it is dry. Once your ready to blow dry use a large round bristle brush and pre blow drying product such as Philip Kingsley Instant Beach, for natural tousled waves or Philip Kingsley PK Prep for volume and smoothness. Twist each section as you blow dry to achieve that worn “smooth” or “beach wave” texture.
DAY 2
A half up half down style is perfect for the second day. To add more festival vibe add a braid or two to add texture and interest. To create use a small amount of Philip Kingsley Texturising soft wax, scrunching from the mid lengths to ends.
Take the top section of hair and split in two, braid each half, cross the plaits at the back and bring back to the front before knotting them together.
DAY 3
Why not finish with a bang! Before styling spray hair with Philip Kingsley ‘One More Day’ dry shampoo which will refresh hair and make styling more manageable.
Day 3 should all be about the braided bun or messy fishtail.
For a braided bun scoop the back section of the neck up to the crown and tie. With the remaining hair at the front get braiding, the more the better, wrap around the messy bun and secure! If a fish tail braid is what you want loosely split your hair in two at the nape of the neck, taking fine sections of hair from each side and bringing through to the middle leaving loose stands each side for that undone look.
Tie at the end and finish with Philip Kingsley Weatherproof Hairspray to protect your hair from the Great British weather!
These hair styles will ensure that you remain looking on point throughout a long weekend festival, and even in extreme weather conditions.
