London Stansted’s latest jobs fair takes-off this week as nearly 50 airport companies showcase the hundreds of exciting career opportunities on offer across the UK’s fourth busiest airport.

The airport’s new Hampton-by-Hilton hotel, which is nearing completion ahead of its opening this summer, is the latest big name to sign-up alongside a host of firms promoting over 500 new full and part time jobs to join the 12,000 strong workforce already at the east of England’s single biggest employment site.

Companies also attending the fair include venue provider the Radisson Blu hotel plus MAG Stansted Airport, the recently arrived Jet2.com, Titan Airways, World Duty Free, Fedex, Border Force, Boots, Harris + Hoole, National Express and many more from all sectors of the airport’s operation.

Marcella M’Rabety, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager, said:

“These are really exciting times at Stansted Airport, and the future is set to be even brighter. We are already welcoming over 24 million passengers a year, planning permission has been granted for a new £130million arrivals building and we are just about to kick-off a host of new multi-million pound projects to improve the passenger experience and make best use of our existing single runway.

“There has never been a better time to join the 12,000 workers already driving our success story and this latest jobs fair is the perfect opportunity to find out more and to get onboard through the hundreds of new jobs and long-term careers being created by Stansted’s phenomenal growth.

“Job seekers will be able to meet potential employers face to face, obtain careers advice, receive guidance about the application process and find out more about free training opportunities, apprenticeships and traineeships programmes and existing vacancies.

“They can also hear about the many benefits of working at the airport, including the Airport Travel Card that offers up to 80% discount on a wide range of rail, bus and coach fares and is available to all on-site staff.”

The Jobs Fair, organised by Stansted Airport in partnership with the airport’s Employment and Skills Academy, takes place on Thursday, May 25 at the airport’s Radisson Blu hotel from 10am to 2pm.
