Kate Middleton looked radiant in red as she lit up the annual Diplomatic Reception at Buckingham Palace on the 8th of December. She graced the camera looking a true vision of beauty in a floor-length red beaded dress by Jenny Packham. However, the crowning glory of her outfit was the famous Lover’s Knot tiara that highlighted her stunning chignon hairstyle.
The tiara was Kate’s late mother-in-law Princess Diana’s favourite. The tiara is set with diamonds and has pearls hanging from the diamond knot. This is only the fifth time the Duchess has worn the tiara, and it is the the first accessory of the late Princess that the Duchess chose to be worn in public.
Next to the Duchess stood her ever loyal husband Prince William in the formal Order of the Garter suit matching his grandfather Prince Philip and his father Prince Charles. Also in attendance were Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.
Camilla looked fetching in a Bruce Oldfield pearl dress paired with the Greville tiara, a pearl choker and diamond earrings. Queen Elizabeth looked regal in an Angela Kelly dress with a tiara set with sapphires and diamonds and pieces of the George VI diamond and sapphire collection accessorised the outfit.
