Unless you have been living under a rock you would know that The Sun earlier this afternoon released a world exclusive about TOWIE star Dan Edgar who was involved in a shambolic investment company that conned investors of up to £500k !
Now my question is has Dan’s involvement been taken out of context ?!
For all my Towie lovers just like me we will all know Dan from his PDA filled sessions with ex girlfriend Katie Wright which drew to an abrupt end and this has left the hunk drowning his sorrows in newcomer Amber Turner’s arms !
So why has a seemingly normal 26year old lad who just wants to party and have a bit of fun ended up banned from being a company director until 2031 … And furthermore why does national press care ?!
I will be the first to put my hand up and up and say wrong is wrong, crime is crime however I feel to my far less educated colleagues in the media it feels certainly like a national holiday when news of a scandal involving a celebrity or public figure falls on their laps – let’s imagine for one minute that this company had conned £2million out of people but had no celebrity links or affiliations!
Which one of my trigger happy colleagues in the media would have been bothered by these developments ?!
The initial report from The Sun couldn’t even confirm the full extent of Dan’s jnvolvement, I’m a company director in my husband’s company but that doesn’t mean I am fully aware of his operations and what’s going on day to day! Records actually show that there were other directors and staff so the failure or perhaps boiler room setting the company had might not have been at all Dan’s fault.
Finally though, he was involved and as a public figure he should know better ! He is a role model to many young men and women who like me indulge in ITVBe’s late night pleasure viewing of the opulent lives of the Essex elite, and given that he needs to come out and perhaps provide clarification of his involvement and affiliation to what seems like a real life story of one of those knock of hooligan films that are made in Essex.
